Shakuhachi Masters of Japan
Mark your calendar!
The Seattle Shakuhachi Study Group, with nominal support from the Consul General of Japan in Seattle, is sponsoring a performance of traditional and contemporary shakuhachi music featuring three master players from Japan, Furuya Teruo, Kakizakai Kaoru and Matama Kazushi. For those of us who appreciate Japanese cultural arts this is a rare opportunity to hear all three of these internationally acclaimed players in one program.
The performance will take place on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 3pm at Woodland Park Presbyterian Church, 225 N. 70th Street in Seattle. Admission is $25.00 per person and tickets can be ordered by simply sending us an email at [email protected]. Let us know how many tickets you’d like and we’ll provide you with payment information. It will also be possible to buy tickets at the door.
If you appreciate world-class shakuhachi playing this is a performance you won’t want to miss!
